This video using a baby shower half fold free printable invitation as an example in the video but can be used with any of our invitations including Halloween invitations.

These instructions follow each use of the invitation printable, as they appear in the video. Look for the hand held signs.

Printed on one side: The free printable invitation includes two pages, the first page is the invitation (front) and the second page is an accompanying design that is meant to be printed on the reverse side of the invitation (back). You can just print the front of the invitation. Do this by selecting the “Current page” printing option in the Adobe Reader print pane.

Printed on both sides: For this option, you will need to either (a) print the front (page 1) first, put that page back into the printer, and print the back (page 2) or (b), if your printer is capable of two-sided printing, select that option according to your printer’s instructions. For option (a), you will need to follow your printer’s instructions for how to put paper back into the paper tray in order to print on the blank side.

Handwritten: Simply print the invitation (one-sided or two-sided) and then hand write your text.

Text pasted in from a Word (rich text editor) document: Create your own text, using your preferred font, font size, and font color in Word (or other rich text editor word processing program), copy it, and then paste it in the PDF (in the text box) before you print! This option allows you to show off your style! Use different fonts, different font sizes, different font colors, and bold/italic/underline formats, however you prefer! For help with how to copy and paste, go to How To Copy and Paste from a Word Document into a PDF Document (a free, illustrated tutorial by Jan K., The Proofer).

Print on colored paper: You can print the invitations on any printer-friendly paper, in any color. Print all of your invitations on the same color paper or use a variety of colors! Don’t forget color-matching envelopes!

Folded, used with an envelope: Fold the invitation in three, like a business letter, and put into a business (#10) envelope.

Folder, used without an envelope: You can mail the invitation without needing an envelope! Fold the invitation in three, like a business letter, stamp and address one side, and close the invitation with a colored label (return address label size, as shown), a piece of tape, or staple.

Text created on a label, clipart added: You can be really creative by creating your text on a large, self-stick label! This allows you to add clipart or your own photos to the printable! Go to Making Cards Without Card-Making Software for help with creating labels that include clipart or photos.

Printed on plain paper, used as a Half-Fold Card: Create your invitation as you desire, then simply fold in half. This creates a half-fold card that will fit in a 6 x 9 envelope.

Printed on Half-Fold Card Stock: You can purchase pre-scored (folded) card stock (a heavier paper than regular printer paper) in most office supply stores and in some stores like Wal-Mart and Target. These packages usually come with matching envelopes. Print the invitation as desired on the card stock, fold along the scored line, and insert into envelope.

Use the invitation as an announcement: You can use the invitation as an announcement that can be posted on a bulletin board (for company parties or community get-togethers). Print on plain computer paper or card stock, of any color, and post on a bulletin board.
